The foundation: our equipment

We’re a printing company, so naturally our printing equipment is our focal point. During the past 5 years we have invested strategically in a fast, flexible array of printing equipment, purchased with you in mind.

At the core of our printing commercial technology are three new sheet–fed presses that offer 4-, 6- and 10-color options and print at speeds ranging from 13,000 to 15,000 sheets per hour. We can print on almost any stock, including plastics, metalized mylar, and vinyl at thicknesses up to 48 pt.

Our newest presses include:

  • Rapida 105, 10-color, 41-inch, convertible perfector with tower coater and roll-to-sheet feeder equipped with hybrid UV capabilities and auto register controls
  • Rapida 105 universal, 41-inch, 6-color with tower coater and aqueous/UV capabilities
  • Rapida 105, 41-inch, 4-color perfector with IR dryer

What's so big about 41 inches?

Garvey’s presses were designed to meet the challenges of today’s complex printing environment head on. They offer the highest possible quality, productivity and substrate versatility as well as the highest level of automation. Our presses set industry standards for quality, economic efficiency and print production.

The benefit of 41 inches allows us to handle jobs with a slight oversize. With this extra inch we can often avoid jumping into the large format arena providing maximum efficiency and cost savings.

Color

Another critical feature of our printing technology system is the Garvey Color Measurement and Management System (GCMMS), a combined density and color measuring system we use for quality control before, during and after printing. We’re dedicated to the idea that when your colors are perfect, your printed materials sparkle.
